Sig p320 40 compact slide
New PM! Discussion Poll Photo Album. Did the P Sub-Compact Disappear? I was just poking around on the Sig Web site. Noticed they no longer catalog P Sub-Compact models. TGS shows none, Osage County still has some in stock. Anybody know for sure?
The P X Compact has the Subcompact slide with a longer grip. Sigs Owned - A Bunch. Hard to say, obviously a millennial redesigned SIGs website with menus and pop ups.
I can't even stand to wade through it all. The subcompact with subcompact grip to me is a plastic P The x-compact pistol is a subcompact with the x-compact frame plus a couple of gizmo's. As soon as the subcompact grip module became available, I put my subcompact in one, and quite like it. It was always just a bit big for pocket carry, but now it's perfect for waistband carry.
A G26 competitor before, it's become a G19 competitor, like the compact, which is also using the same frame. I would imagine that with the x-compact on the market and a lot of excitement around that, the market for the subcompact as a separate model probably dried up somewhat.
Black Sig P320 Subcompact .40 Complete Upper Slide Assembly
Spoke to CS yesterday and seemed to confirm that, stated the sub going forward was The P isnt that small, as it is nearly as Big as my P Originally, either the P or P was shown in a much smaller configuration, I think it cataloged with a 3.Cerakote is for the entire slide. If NONE It is implied that the customer will have arrangements for coating of a slide if NONE is selected for color. If NONE is chosen there is potentially an issue for rust and corrosion to develop on the slide.

Great work on my full size P The OD green cerakote along with the top cut and serrations add functionality and looks to the slide. The optic cut was perfect and they even mounted my Holosun c at no extra cost. Perfect fit. Great job on the cerakote. Prompt service. Love the way the slide came out cuts were perfect with no flaws, optic cut and dovetail were perfectly sized.

If you really are that uneducated, spend some time educating yourself to the wonderful world of firearms…especially handguns as it would appear you are lacking the knowledge necessary to differentiate between race guns and EDC guns. I have read most of these reply and either no one shoots or no one reads and everyone is blind…….
Hats off to you nobody tells a fucking truth anymore. And the ones that do are labeled the assholes or whatever when they should be labeled your best friend.
And thanks for the candid approach to the bottom line. I just ordered one for my full size 9MM. I am confused. Why would you cut a slide like that if you are not porting the barrel?
To save on weight? Get a different firearm or spend some time in the gym. Slide cuts reduce reciprocating mass for faster follow up shots — primarily used in competition. The more reciprocating mass reduced the better. However, for equal cost, I could make just as strong a race gun out of a P as a stock Shaddow2.
However, after re-reading the article, no where does it state that this gun is for competition, which would lead ME to believe it is for EDC or any other purpose you would buy a handgun for. Maybe you should save your criticisms for the author or the editors, instead of people with legitimate questions about somethings unstated purposes. That alone gave me the insight I needed to know who the audience for this slide its. I have no problem with slide. People are complaining about the price of the slide!
They also come ready for optics at the same time. However, I do agree that the look of the slide needs work. Except that SIG once again installed regular height sights instead of suppressor height sights that would cowitness with an optic. Would be full of dirt, lint and any other shit that could fill those gaping holes in no time around here. Paint them rainbow and sell em to fags. A lot of complaints about this slide and the price.
For the money they have a great value considering they are factory too. Lot of money for something that is so ugly. I love the sig sauer brand. I paid for my and you want !!! Lower your price to and you might sale 4 times more of them.Sig Sauer P320 - 1000 Rounds Fired in 13 Minutes!

Deep Engraved. Sig Sauer P Looking For Something Else?By SigMarch 8, in Sig. I have been considering converting to I have read many sites that state that you can convert 40 to 9mm with just a barrel change but from 9mm to 40 you must replace the slide and the barrel. Take a look at the below picture of my P, I seem to have a large gap around the 9mm barrel and while I do not have a 40cal barrel on hand I have not seen a 9mm p with this much of a gap and I am wondering if a 40 cal barrel would fit in my slide.
Does anyone here shoot Limited with a P in 40? I know that the conversion to 40 will be cheaper but will also require a new magwell purchase and install, new set of mags, new sights etc etc. More than likely the gap above the barrel is to accommodate for the barrel tilt during recoil. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you'll be better served buying a new gun.
But, that is good news in reality, no? Thanks for the input and you are right a new gun is never really bad news hahaha just will take a while with a military pay check but just gives me more time to research.
The gap above the muzzle is normal, and is there to allow for the barrel to unlock as the slide moves rearward. However, while a. As you are going to be waiting a bit before moving out with whatever decision to make regarding a limited option in.
It also has the slide cut for an optic should you want to give that a go. I cant tell you how many times I have had this same conversation with myself. But for the love of god as much as I love Sig, their inability to update customers is beyond frustrating.
My gut tells me that I will be able to get my hands on the X-5 well before I can afford a STI unless I can find a great deal on a pre-owned I might just buy the new P instead of waiting on the parts but the fact that I cant plan out when it will be released and that there is been no other coverage on the weapon since shot show is soooo frustrating. Completely understand. Many of us have been anticipating this since we were teased with the original "Target" model at last year's SHOT show.
But, looking at the evolution of the platform since then, it appears Sig has been incorporating design improvements with each big contract they have been chasing. It shouldn't be too much longer. You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account.

The gun came out a few years ago and then another one and then Sig released the P X-Compact in and a newer one? From a distance they look very similar, but the X-Compact model has a lot of welcomed improvements. With the X-Compact, Sig has seemed to find that magic recipe of size and capacity.
As far as the compact designation goes, the gun is on the smaller end of the scale when compared to other duty pistols. It has a shorter barrel than a Glock 19 with an overall slide length of 7 inches. Unloaded it weighs in at just over 25 ounces and should fit in all the pre existing the P holsters available.
With the X Series, Sig completely redesigned the grip module than the standard full-size P The frame has an improved beavertail contoured magwell, and deep trigger guard undercut. Inside the modular design is an internal serialized sub-frame, so you can put the guts into another frame.
Out of the box, I could immediately feel the improvements. I could really cinch up on the grip to combat the high bore axis of the P X-Compact.
Anticipating this lifestyle choice, Sig equipped the X-Compact with an optic cut on the slide. Remove the cover plate at the bottom of the slide to reveal the footprint for a Sig Romeo1Pro. Using a red dot, though, eliminates the rear night sight, so back up irons are not an option. A new X-Series Straight trigger is an improvement on an already very good stock trigger. I really enjoy a flat faced trigger.
As trivial as that sounds, I really do think it makes a difference for a more even trigger press. It was comparable to carrying a sub-compact. Printing was minimal even in my most athletic fitting extra-medium sized shirts. The short upper made sitting and long car rides painless. The Sig P X-Compact is lean.
This handgun makes a strong argument for one of the best concealed carry options straight from the factory. Sig might be a little late to the game with what they are offering with the X-Series, but they knocked it out of the park. I think in the future you may see a lot of old fan boys of certain companies making a switch. The Colt Woodsman is credited as the first successful rimfire.
